An agenda widget shows a list of your next events, not a grid of the month. Six apps do this well on Android, and they differ most in styling, tasks, and price.

Based on published app information. Features and prices checked on 2026-10-23.

TL;DR

  • Easiest start: Google Calendar's schedule widget.

  • Most control over the look: Super Agenda.

  • Free, open source, with tasks: Todo Agenda.

  • Agenda, timeline, and tasks in one widget: Your Calendar Widget.

  • Agenda, today, and month widgets with a theme engine: Everyday.

  • Free and minimal: Minimalist Agenda Widget.

1. Google Calendar — Best agenda widget with no setup

Android · Free · Google Play listing

The "Calendar schedule" widget lists your tasks and upcoming events (Google help page). It can be as small as 2×2 or fill the whole home screen. Since the 2023 redesign it uses Dynamic Color and has an add-event button (9to5Google).

Strengths

  • Free and simple.

  • Shows tasks and events together.

  • Dynamic Color theming.

Limitations

  • Google's help page describes resizing only. I found no color or transparency options there.

Best for: people who want a list with no setup.

2. Super Agenda — Best for control over the look

Android 8.0+ · Free to download, one-time in-app purchase (Super Agenda Pro) · Google Play listing

Super Agenda is built only for the agenda list. It shows the events of the calendars on your phone, with optional day headers ("Today", "Tomorrow", dates) and an optional timeline. You can use one column, or two columns for today and next. The toolbar can show the date or a big date, with buttons to add an event, refresh, and open the settings.

You style each part on its own: colors, text sizes, shapes, transparency, and corner radius. Event markers can be a bar, a circle, or a small dot. You can start from a built-in design, save your own presets, and share them as a file. Each widget can have its own calendars and style. The time settings let you show past events, set how many days ahead, cap the number of events, and hide declined or all-day events.

The time settings and calendar choice are free. All style options need Super Agenda Pro, a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, account, or ads.

Strengths

  • Styling per part and per widget.

  • Live preview that matches the widget on the home screen.

  • Day and night themes that follow the system dark mode.

Limitations

  • No tasks, no weather, and no month grid.

  • No calendar sync of its own.

  • Styling needs Pro.

  • No wallpaper-based dynamic colors.

Best for: people who care how the list looks and want to share or save designs.

3. Todo Agenda — Best free and open source

Android 7+ · Free, open source, no advertising · Google Play listing

Todo Agenda shows events and task lists in one scrolling list. Each widget has its own settings: layouts, colors, filters, selected calendars, and task lists. You can set background colors and transparency for different parts, and change the text size. The widget is fully resizable, with alternative layouts. You can turn off the header, day headers, and event icons. A button returns you to today. Settings can be backed up and moved to another device.

Strengths

  • Free with no ads.

  • Tasks and events in one list.

  • Hides duplicate events, and can lock the time zone when you travel.

Limitations

  • Many settings to learn.

  • The listing does not mention a live preview or built-in designs.

Best for: people who want a free list with the most filters.

4. Your Calendar Widget — Best for agenda, tasks, and many display modes

Android · Free with ads and in-app purchases · Google Play listing

Your Calendar Widget offers agenda, inline-agenda, and simple display modes. It adds a timeline, badges, and notifications to mark upcoming events. It can show birthdays and anniversaries. With its task integration you can view and edit Google Tasks and Microsoft To Do tasks. You can filter events by title, create any number of widgets, and give each its own configuration. The listing says themes come from the system and the community.

Strengths

  • Task editing from the widget.

  • Event filter by title.

  • Updated on Google Play on Aug 2, 2026.

Limitations

  • Ads in the free version.

  • Many modes mean a longer setup.

Best for: people who want tasks and events in the same widget.

5. Everyday: Calendar Widget — Best for a theme engine

Android · Free with ads and in-app purchases · Google Play listing

Everyday has three widgets: Agenda for events, Today for the things that matter most, and Month. The listing describes a dynamic theme engine that adapts to the background to avoid visibility problems. You can set up several widgets with different themes and calendars, and back up your settings.

Some features need Premium, including task sync, according to the listing. The listing also says the free version shows ads.

Strengths

  • Agenda, Today, and Month widgets in one app.

  • Theme engine that adapts to the background.

Limitations

  • Ads in the free version.

  • Premium features include task sync.

  • I could not confirm whether its colors come from your wallpaper.

Best for: people who want an agenda and a month widget from one small app.

6. Minimalist Agenda Widget — Best free minimal list

Android · Free, no ads, no accounts · Google Play listing

This widget shows upcoming events in a simple scrollable list. You choose calendars, text and background colors, font size, spacing, text alignment, and background opacity. You can add color dots or emojis to tell calendars apart, and toggle end times, locations, and date separators. Shortcut buttons add an event or jump to today. You can have several widgets with different calendars and styles.

Strengths

  • Free, no accounts, no ads.

  • Several widgets, each with its own calendars and style.

Limitations

  • Fewer options than the larger apps, as far as the listing shows.

  • 10K+ installs on Google Play, so a smaller user base.

Best for: people who want a quiet list and nothing more.
