In Super Agenda you hide declined events and all-day events with two switches in the time settings. Both switches are free, and the widget updates right away.

Hiding an event in the widget does not delete it. The event stays in your calendar app. The widget only changes what it shows.

Hide declined and all-day events

Super Agenda is a home screen agenda widget for Android 8.0 and newer. It shows the events of the calendars on your phone. Follow these steps to clean up the list.

  1. Open the settings. Open the Super Agenda app, or tap the settings button in the widget toolbar.

  2. Find the time settings. These settings control which events the widget shows. They are free.

  3. Turn on "hide declined events". Events you declined no longer appear in the list.

  4. Turn on "hide all-day events". All-day items no longer appear. Many birthdays and holidays are all-day events, so check the result before you keep this on.

  5. Check the live preview. The preview in the app matches the widget on your home screen: same events, same size, same look.

  6. Go back to the home screen. The widget shows the same list as the preview.

The labels in the app can differ slightly from the names above. Look for the switches that match.

Your calendar, on your home screen. Super Agenda is a free, very customizable agenda widget for Android. No account, no ads.

All the time settings

Hiding events is one of five time settings. Use them together to get a short, useful list.

  • Show past events — What it does: Keeps events that already ended in the list, or removes them.. Cost: Free.

  • Days ahead — What it does: Sets how many days into the future the widget shows.. Cost: Free.

  • Maximum number of events — What it does: Stops the list at a set length.. Cost: Free.

  • Hide declined events — What it does: Removes events you declined.. Cost: Free.

  • Hide all-day events — What it does: Removes all-day items.. Cost: Free.

The calendar choice is free as well. Style options such as colors and layouts need Super Agenda Pro, a one-time in-app purchase.

Example setups

  • A clean work day. Hide declined events, keep all-day events off the list, show 2 days ahead, and cap the list at 6 events.

  • A planner view. Keep all-day events on so you see deadlines and holidays. Show 7 days ahead and hide declined events.

  • A "what is next" view. Hide past events and cap the list at a small number. For this, a two-column layout can show today and next. Read Calendar Widget Layouts: One Column or Two (Today and Next)?.

Pick the calendars first

If one calendar adds most of the noise, a calendar choice can fix it faster than a filter. Turn that calendar off in the widget. See How to Show Multiple Calendars in One Android Widget. You can also use separate widgets for work and personal events, as in How to Use Separate Work and Personal Calendar Widgets.

Limits to know

  • Super Agenda has no month grid view and does not show tasks.

  • The widget only changes what it shows. To remove an event for good, change it in your calendar app.
