To keep work and personal events apart, place two Super Agenda widgets on your home screen. Give the first one your work calendars and the second one your personal calendars. Each widget keeps its own calendars and its own style.

The calendar choice is free. A different style for each widget needs Super Agenda Pro, a one-time in-app purchase. This guide shows the full setup.

Before you start

Super Agenda shows the events of the calendars on your phone. It has no calendar sync of its own. So your work calendar must already sync to the phone. For Outlook, Exchange, and iCloud, read how to show Outlook, iCloud and Exchange events in an Android widget. Google Calendar and other accounts that sync to the Android calendar work as they are.

You need Android 8.0 or newer.

Set up two widgets

  1. Add the first widget. Touch and hold an empty space on the home screen, open the widget list, and place a Super Agenda widget. If you need help, read how to add a calendar widget to your Android home screen.

  2. Pick the work calendars. In the app, choose only your work calendars for this widget.

  3. Add the second widget. Place another Super Agenda widget on the same home screen or on another one.

  4. Pick the personal calendars. Choose only your personal calendars for this widget. Family, birthdays, and hobby calendars fit here.

  5. Set the time settings. These are free. See the table below for ideas.

  6. Style each widget. With Pro, give each widget its own colors, text sizes, and shapes. Use the live preview to check the result.

  7. Check the home screen. The preview matches the widget on the home screen, so what you see in the app is what you get.

Your calendar, on your home screen. Super Agenda is a free, very customizable agenda widget for Android. No account, no ads.

Time settings that suit each widget

These settings are free, and each widget keeps its own. Here is one sensible split between a work list and a personal list. Change it to fit your week.

  • Days ahead — Work widget: A few days. Personal widget: A week or more.

  • Maximum number of events — Work widget: Low, to keep the list short. Personal widget: Higher.

  • Show past events — Work widget: On, to see what you missed today. Personal widget: Off.

  • Hide declined events — Work widget: On. Personal widget: Off.

  • Hide all-day events — Work widget: Depends on how you use them. Personal widget: Off, to see birthdays.

Declined meetings can clutter a work list. Read how to hide declined and all-day events in a calendar widget for the details.

Make the two widgets easy to tell apart

When two agenda widgets sit near each other, a clear look helps you read them at a glance. With Pro you can:

  • use a cool color for work and a warm color for personal

  • pick a different event color marker for each widget: a bar, a circle, or a small dot

  • use a two-column layout (today and next) for the work widget, and a one-column list for the personal one

  • show day headers on one widget and a timeline on the other

  • use day and night themes that follow the system dark mode, so both widgets match your phone

You can save a design as a preset. Presets are part of Pro.

Layout ideas

  • Two widgets on one screen — What goes where: Work on top, personal below.

  • Work widget on the main screen, personal on a second screen — What goes where: Less clutter at work and at home.

If you want a full work-day setup, read a work day setup: meetings on your Android home screen.

Limits

  • Super Agenda has no month grid view and no tasks or to-dos.

  • Styling needs Pro. Without it you can still choose the calendars and use the time settings.

  • A calendar that does not sync to the phone cannot show in any widget.

  • If you want one list with every calendar, use one widget with all calendars on instead.

Two widgets, two calendars. Keep work and personal events apart on your home screen.
