A calendar widget looks different when you change six things: color, transparency, corner radius, text size, event markers, and layout. This page gives ten designs you can build from those settings.
Each idea lists the settings to change. You can start from a built-in design and adjust it, or start from the default look.
How the ideas work
The app lets you set the colors, text sizes, shapes, transparency, and corner radius of each part of the widget. Events can have a color marker (a bar, a circle, or a small dot). There are built-in designs, which are ready presets. You can save your own presets, share them as a file, and import presets from others.
All style options need Super Agenda Pro, a one-time purchase with no subscription. The calendar choice and the time settings are free.
Two limits to know first:
The widget does not pull colors from your wallpaper. You choose the colors yourself.
It shows an agenda list, not a month grid.
Clean and quiet designs
1. The glass list
Set a high transparency on the background and keep the text light. The wallpaper shows through, and the events float above it. Use a medium corner radius.
Check the result in the live preview. Text on a busy wallpaper can be hard to read, so test it with your real wallpaper. Our guide on making a calendar widget transparent goes deeper.
2. The solid card
Use a solid background color, a large corner radius, and dark text on a light card (or light text on a dark card). It looks like a card sitting on the wallpaper and stays readable on any image.
3. The dot-only minimalist
Choose the small dot as the event marker. Set the text size small, hide the day headers, and keep the list short with the maximum number of events. The result is a quiet list with almost no decoration.
Designs built around the date
4. The big date
Use the big date as the toolbar, optionally with the month. Put a short list below it. The date works as a title, and you read the day from across the room. More in the big date toolbar.
5. The two-column day
Choose two columns: today on one side and the next events on the other. Keep the text size modest so that both columns fit. This works well on larger home screens.
6. The timeline day
Turn on the optional timeline. Events sit on a time line, so you see gaps and busy blocks. Pair it with day headers for a clear sense of the day.
Designs built around color
7. The bar code
Use the bar marker and give each calendar or event type its own color in your calendar app. You read the type of event from the color before you read the text. Choose bar colors with a strong contrast against the background.
8. The day and night pair
Set up a light design and a dark design with the day and night themes. They follow the system dark mode, so the widget changes with your phone. Make the dark version a little softer, with a lower contrast background, so it is easy on the eyes at night.
9. The wallpaper match
Since the widget does not take colors from your wallpaper, pick them by hand. Look at the main color of your wallpaper. Use it as the accent for the date and the markers. Set the background to match the dark or light tone of the image. This takes a few tries, but the live preview makes it fast.
A design for each purpose
10. The twin widgets
Add two widgets and give each its own calendars and its own style. For example, a quiet small widget for personal events and a stronger one for work. This also helps with focus, as described in separate work and personal widgets.

Save the ones you like
When a design works, save it as a preset. A preset keeps your colors, shapes, and layout, so you can switch back after an experiment. You can also share a preset as a file and import presets from others. The steps are in the guide on saving and sharing a widget design.

What this means for you
Start with one idea, not ten. Pick the look that matches how you use your home screen.
Use the live preview. It shows the same events, size, and look as the widget on the home screen.
Keep the text readable first. A design is only good if you can read it in a second.
Save a preset before you experiment, so you can go back.
